PHOTOREJUVENATION

AFTERCARE

The treated area must not have been exfoliated for at least 3 days prior and nothing must have been applied to it on the day of the treatment. In addition, you must wait 7 days before using cosmetic products that contain active ingredients again.

Following the treatment and for the next 24 to 48 hours, or until the skin is back to normal and healthy, it is not recommended to:

  • play sports

  • go in a spa, hot bath, sauna

  • all activities that increase blood circulation

  • friction

  • remove/tear off dry skin

  • wearing tight-fitting clothes

  • put cream or anything occlusive

  • shave (for 7 days)

  • exfoliate (for 7 days)

  • expose yourself to the sun

  • go swimming

  • do not apply anything chemical product to the area

For all treatments for vascular disorders, avoid anything that could cause blushing, such as spicy foods, alcohol, etc. Sometimes, there can be too much heat at home, in a room or in front of a fire for example. Also, anything that usually gives you a red complexion is to avoid, for the next 24 to 48 hours (or at least until the skin is back to normal and healthy).

For any discomfort or to improve the skin following the treatment, it is recommended to:

  • put pure aloe vera in the first 24 hours.

  • put cold water compresses

  • put ice

  • apply sunscreen every 2 hours (mineral and 50FPS priority)

Between sessions, it is a good idea to exfoliate with a gentle, mechanical exfoliant 1 to 2 times a week, and to moisturize the area (do not use cream with active ingredients the week of the treatment).

Make sure to continue with your moisturizer afterwards and moisturizing masks, if necessary.

If your treatment included correction of pigment spots, it is important not to over-hydrate. Only use a moisturizing gel, since you want the scabs to dry out (important not to rub or scratch).

For the treatment of pigmentary disorders, make sure not to scratch, tear or pull the small scabs. Light hydration with aloe is recommended, but nothing more.
